Cleans and sanitizes rooms and furnishings in assigned work areas, following established policies and procedures in order to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hospital. High dusts ledges, vents, televisions, blinds, drapes and cubicle curtains according to department policy and procedures to maintain a clean and attractive environment. Replenishes on a daily basis: soap, paper towels, toilet tissue and urine blocks according to department policy and procedures. Maintains a clean and orderly work area, including equipment and carts, in order to be more organized and efficient as evidenced by Supervisor observation. The position reports to the Director - Facility Construction/Engineering and manages the activities and performance of the Engineering staff. A minimum of five (5) years maintenance experience; hospital or commercial Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing or Boiler Maintenance preferred. Five (5) or more years of engineering or maintenance related supervisory/management experience required. Healthcare experience preferred. Requires substantial knowledge of computer, electrical, plumbing, mechanical control and life safety systems; regulatory requirements governing hospitals and management procedures. An understanding of the budget procedures and process. Ability to read and interpret facility blueprints. Understand operational concepts for HVAC, mechanical, boilers, plumbing and general electrical maintenance. Must be capable of utilizing computer for reports and equipment interface operations.
