Pediatrician - Newnan

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is currently constructing a $165M replacement facility scheduled to open in 2010. The 136 bed facility will include 5 Labor and Delivery suites, 2 C-section rooms and 6 NICU beds.

PMCC employs approximately 650 staff members and over 200 physicians. Our major focus is providing direct primary patient care. Belonging to the Piedmont system ensures optimal care for our patients, as well as practice management and marketing support for our physicians.

The community based pediatrics practice responsibilities include well children routine visits and sick children evaluation and treatment. Round on all new deliveries at PNH in an appropriate time frame based on patient needs. Performing or supervising circumcisions. Performing and assisting with resuscitation, stabilization and/or transport as needed to the Regional Neonatal facility. Attend high risk deliveries as required or requested. Care for neonates in Level II Nursery. Provide consultative support for ED staff regarding care of medically complex children.

Candidates must possess clinical, leadership and administrative skills along with excellent communication and teamwork skills. Knowledgeable of and follow all applicable CDC, OSHA and HIPAA regulations and guidelines. Experience with an EMR is highly desirable. Requires degree from an accredited medical school and current GA license.
