One of our Atlanta based Internal Medicine offices is looking for a Registered Nurse to join their team and contribute to office's success and growth while providing the perfect balance between health and care.
Qualifications/Requirements/Job Description: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure in the state of Georgia. Minimum of 3 years experience with a strong clinical background. Performs a variety of patient care activities in accordance with established standards and practices. Triages incoming telephone calls; responds to questions regarding medications and treatment instruction; coordinates phone requests to refill prescription drug medications in accordance with physician directions and protocols. Clinical duties/patient care activities e.g. Rooms patients. Patient history, vitals, injections, X-rays, EKGs and venipuncture. Assists physicians with other minor procedures as indicated. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with clinical nursing standards; observes, records and reports patient's condition; advises physician of patient's adverse reactions to drugs and/or treatments. Dresses wounds according to standard clinical procedures. Responsible for stocking/preparing exam rooms. Follows universal precautions at all times. May also perform other non-clinical duties: e.g. scheduling appointments, processing referrals, call backs, etc. Provides patient education and teaching under the direction of a physician; answers questions regarding diagnostic testing and treatment. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. Good work ethic, responsible, self-starter, team player with the ability to multi-task. Computer literacy required. Familiarity with NextGen or other EMR experience a plus.
